Small business & property systems
The pages before this one are parts. This is what they look like assembled for a place that has customers, guests or tenants and cannot close because the link went down.
What a build usually includes
- The network — coverage, a wired backbone, separate lanes for guests, cameras and work. See Networks.
- Guest Wi-Fi with a sign-in page that lives on the premises: no password to hand out, a time limit, and a page you control.
- Cameras that record locally, on a disk in your building, with remote viewing through a tunnel rather than a vendor’s cloud.
- A phone line answered on the premises — a small phone system that keeps ringing extensions inside the building when the internet is out, with voicemail that stays yours.
- Shared files, calendars and contacts for the people who work there. See Private cloud.
- Backups and monitoring as described on their own pages, because a business without them is one bad day from starting over.
- Automation where it earns its keep — a gate, a door sensor, a light schedule, a pump — running on a controller in the building, not in someone’s app.
How I hand it over
One system, one diagram, one runbook, one set of passwords that are yours. Then, if you want, I keep watch.
