How a House Call Works
From your first call to a working computer — what a visit actually looks like, step by step. No mystery, no upselling, no jargon.
Most tech support leaves you confused and dependent. Someone fixed something, didn’t explain what, and now you need them again next month.
That’s not how I work.
Step 1 — You Call or Email
Tell me what’s going on in plain language. “My computer is slow.” “My printer won’t connect.” “I think I have a virus.” That’s all I need to get started.
I’ll ask a couple of quick questions to understand the problem and schedule a visit — usually within the same week.
How to reach me:
Call 808-647-2304 or Los Angeles 424-485-0007, or email aloha@mycomputertherapy.com
Step 2 — I Come to You
I arrive at your home at the scheduled time. No need to unplug anything, pack anything up, or bring your computer anywhere. I work where you work — at your desk, your kitchen table, wherever the problem is.
Service area: Remote help anywhere in the country, Los Angeles included. In-person visits by arrangement.
Step 3 — I Fix It and Explain It
I diagnose the problem, explain what’s happening in plain language, and fix it while you watch. Most single-issue problems (slow computer, virus, printer, WiFi) are resolved in a single visit.
If something requires parts or additional time, I tell you upfront — no surprise charges.
Step 4 — You Understand What Happened
Before I leave, you know what went wrong, why it happened, and how to prevent it. That’s the “therapy” part. I don’t just fix the symptom — I help you understand your technology better.
For recurring issues, I give you simple steps to follow. Written down. In normal language.
After the Visit
If the same problem comes back within 30 days, I come back and fix it — no additional charge.
For ongoing tech questions, you can always call or email. Quick questions are free. That’s just being a good neighbor.
Pricing
I quote a flat rate based on the problem, not the hour. You know the price before I start. Common single-issue fixes (virus removal, printer setup, slow computer cleanup) are all flat-rate.
Larger projects (full home network setup, new computer migration, smart home installation) are quoted after I understand the scope.
No hourly billing. No surprise charges. No upselling.
